About The Artist
From a very young age Marcus loved to draw, having a passion for challenging himself with new and difficult items to draw Marcus found mechanical items like watches and cars to satisfy the need for always creating something new and exciting.
Marcus is an artist specializing in almost photographic like reproductions of the faces and mechanisms of high-end timepieces and exotic cars using ink and graphite pencil.
His originals and prints are being snapped up by collectors and others in the business who appreciate his mastery of detail and design sense. They are beginning to pop up in Art Basel functions as well as fine retail stores in the US and internationally.
“There is a timeless beauty in today's upscale designer watches and automobiles and I love to bring that out in my work. Believe me, it is a labor of love, but I also insist that all my drawings be as accurate as I can possibly make them, so collectors get a true representation of what they own or aspire to” he said.
His work is meticulous, and he doesn’t shy away from the most complex mechanisms … think tourbillion movements, automotive engines, aggressive aerodynamic designs. Strong, sharp contrast brings out the features of his subjects for a dramatic rendition suitable for framing and display in a collector’s home, retail setting or manufacturer’s office.
